In this musical, four entertaining farmboys from Iowa head for the Big Apple to find fame and fortune but find themselves in trouble when a radio sponsor finds himself accused of kidnapping a girl. Songs include: "Septimus Winner," "Peaceful Ends the Day," "Cherokee Charlie," "Let's Go to Calicabu," "Swing-a-Bye My Baby," "Changeable Heart," "If It's a Dream Don't Wake Me," "Since the Farmer in the Dell," "Caliacau," and "Listen to the Mockingbird."

This film is a compilation, with narration by Steve Allen, of comedies from the old Mack Sennett silent studio. Sennett, himself, appears in a cameo at the end of the film.

In this experimental collage film, Arthur Lipsett reworks over fifty years of newsreel footage into a surreal audiovisual montage of twentieth-century life. Saul Sinclaire is a divorced musician that has experienced some success as a commercial composer. His life is interrupted when a 20-year-old package mysteriously shows up on his doorstep. The completely unexpected delivery is from his very first love, Melody Hall. With mixed feelings of anticipation and apprehension, he decides to try and reconnect. Almost immediately he experiences the rekindling of the relationship that had meant so much to him so many years before. However, simultaneously and almost equally unexpected, Saul is suddenly faced with some difficult career choices. This situation is almost identical in its implications as the first time he and Melody were together.
